Challenging the old childhood saying "sticks and stones may break my bones..." implying that words cannot truly harm, he leaned heavily into a sobering truth: words carry the power of life and death.
To anchor his point, he shared Proverbs 18:21—reminding everyone that what we speak takes root, lingers, and shapes reality long after the breath has left our lips.
That message struck a chord, turning into a visual design born from the sermon's core message:
The Red Apple: Inspired by the themes of temptation, consequence, and deep-seated human nature, framed by the rich harvest colors surrounding the layout.
The Serpent and Thorns: Representing how deceptive, sharp words can twist, entrap, and poison relationships from within.
The Apple-Skull Hybrid: A stark symbol of the pastor's warning that destructive speech carries lethal consequence, holding "death in the power of the tongue."
Proverbs 18:21: Printed cleanly on the front chest, serving as a wearable reminder to choose speech that brings life rather than decay.
